This Wadham Stringer bodied ambulance looks to me the same type as used by the Royal Navy. This one was in fact built for Wiltshire Ambulance Service in 1985.

This Spencer Abbott bodied ambulance was built for Leicestershire Authority then spent 8 years with St.John before moving to Sussex Rescue and is now with Ambulance Aid who were tying to sell it when this picture was taken.

The interior is fairly well kitted out but the bodywork has some damage at the rear and it needs two new front doors and probably a bonnet. Price was reasonable 'though.
