Lanseria International Airport - South Africa
Lanseria International Airport located in Johannesburg`s northern suburbs is the largest privately owned airport in South Africa and their 3rd - 4th busiest with regard to passenger and aircraft movements. The airport handles in excess of 2 million passengers a year and their are approximately 350 aircraft movements per day. Commercial flights between Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban are operated on a daily basis by low-cost airlines Kulula and Mango. The airport is the base for most private business jets in South Africa!
LIA is a ICAO category 7 airport capable of taking aircraft up to Boeing 767 status. The airport have a full time RFFS which is operational 24/7. They also provide an emergency ambulance service on the airport site.The airport has one runway 07/25 which is 3100m long x 50m wide.
