Georgetown fire station

The Ascension Island Government Fire & Sea Rescue Service operate out of these premises in the capitol Georgetown. On my visit in 2009 they were running 2 x ex Manchester Leyland Freighter/Fulton & Wylie pumps, a Land Rover 6x6/Firefly L6P plus an ex DFS MK9 crash tender. The station is manned by professional fire-fighting personnel on a day-manned basis Monday-Friday and via pager out of these hours.
