The latest edition to the (FAAN) Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ACT fleet, is this stunning “CT009” 8x8 airport crash tender; 1 of 2 identical units supplied by Kronenburg in Holland on a custom built American KME 8x8 ACT chassis. FAAN are the first end-user of this 8x8 variant which features a Caterpillar C27 950 bhp diesel engine and Twin Disc transmission. The fire engineering includes a German Johstadt pump, a 12,500 litre water tank; a 1,500 litre foam tank plus 250 kgs of dry chemical additional media. Both 8x8 units are fitted with Crash Rescue Inc. “Snozzle” high reach extendible turrets.
