Catterick

RAF Catterick 1976... Basic fire training Course, This was the 'old' RAF Fire School before its move to RAF Manston... During my basic course, the school was know as the Fire Fighting and Special Saftey Squadron. (Now an Army Camp)
All RAF fire service training was carried out here, including the Driver TAC Opps, and FT1 courses.

    Hi, I was an RAF Fireman who trained at RAF Catterick in the 70's.
    I still have fond memories of the experience although the memories are starting to dim somewhat....getting old he he.Used to go to a little cafe in Catterick Village where they had a jukebox. Good station. After training I was posted to RAF Wittering.
    Ahhhh memories.
