I don't know why this didn't get more mention in the media but it seems a Russian hunter/killer submarine made a wrong turn at Gloucester docks while on a secret mission to survey the proposed site of the Bristol Barrage. The red faced captain said that if he hadn't been thwarted by the weir at Bath while trying to make a 3 point turn he would have got away undetected.
